Psychiatric Consultation

 

 

Veridian Behavioral health offers Psychiatric consultation to individuals who have concerns about their mental health. Our staff of psychiatrists and nurse practitioners are available for you to schedule a psychiatric consultation by contacting our office at 785-452-4930. We accept self referrals as well as referrals from your primary care provider’s office.

What does a psychiatric consultation involve?
 An initial psychiatric intake will be scheduled with one of our providers, you will be asked to fill out some initial paperwork indicating the reason you are seeking psychiatric care. We will begin by getting a thorough history of your medical and psychiatric conditions as well as a family history. We ask that if you are unable to provide this information you bring along a friend or family member who can assist you.
