Marcia Bulleigh, APRN, NP-C, PMHNP

Areas of Interest: Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, Geriatric Psychiatry, working with victims of sexual assault, medication management, community presentations on mental health issues.

Marcia works collaboratively with the Veridian psychiatrists as a Nurse Practitioner. Her primary responsibility is to provide mental health care to patients who require inpatient stabilization during crisis situations. She also assists Veridian Behavioral Health therapists to provide emergency outpatient appointments when needed.

Marcia’s nursing experience includes over 20 years as an RN in a variety of settings including emergency nursing, nursing education, and community health nursing.

She completed a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Fort Hays State University in 2007, and is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the emergency department in a critical access hospital within the Sunflower Health Network for 2 years.

Recognizing the growing need for mental health providers, Marcia decided to continue her education at the University of Kansas, School of Medicine to specialize as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She currently is eligible to take the Psychiatry national certification exam, and plans to complete this examination by April 2014.

Marcia’s other interests include gardening, camping, fishing, boating, hunting, and spending as much time as possible with family and friends.
